In Washington, DC people are often described by what jobs they have held. I am a former Senior Professional Staff Member for the Oversight Committee in the United States House of Representatives. I was responsible for the health oversight portfolio and believe we made a difference for good in the work we accomplished.
Prior to being invited to work for Congress, I was employed at the National Institutes of Health in administrative and committee management capacities. I worked in the international, complementary and alternative medicine, and rare disease areas of the agency. After leaving government service, I entered the world of consulting, government relations, and writing. In 2019, I entered the private sector, now in the non-profit sector and focused on making a difference for the good. I maintain this site as my own and any opinions expressed are purely my own.
Outside of Washington, I am a mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, friend, Truth Seeker, and a spiritual being having a human experience. The writings and opinions presented on this site are purely my own and should not be construed to represent those of anyone or any organization I have worked or consulted with past or present.
Enjoy!
Always,
Beth
